Flood barrier dispatched to Charleville
Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ) is in the process of transporting a temporary flood barrier from Ormeau, on the Gold Coast to Charleville. Two hundred metres of the 500 metre barrier stored at Ormeau is expected to arrive in Charleville tomorrow morning.
The barrier is being sent to the town as a precaution due to rising flood waters in the Warrego River. The State Emergency Service (SES) will erect the flood barrier first thing tomorrow morning.
